Remains very hard to spot where the problem comes in. I can simulate the condition by corrupting the parking radius and some other items from the scenery parking. I will have to upload another test to home in on this issue...

Preview 26d interim version:

Ideal Flight Professional P3D v4/5

Can you carry out the same test procedure with 26d. By the way, a work around is in place for one possibility. So even if the error appears to be cured, can you still check the log for exceptions and show the details please.

Okay. I'll do as many tests as we need to.

Alright, making some good progress here.

No error, parking and gate locations appear where they're supposed to in the flight assist page no matter where I go it seems, but...

I get several exceptions when I moved for the first time to a gate from a parking location. A number of exceptions were generated that says that parking could not be found, despite the parking locations appearing in the flight assist page.

This appears to only happen when I move once after starting the flight. I will paste the current log I have here that has the find parking exception and then try it again maybe at a different airport just to verify this.

Alright, so that one time appears to have been a fluke. I restarted the flight and I now get no errors or exceptions.

Looks solved to me!

To get my old sim back, can I just rename all of the Prepar3D folders from old back to prepar3D V4?

All I did was add some feedback in the program to the log, apart from one place whereby the error data was replaced with dummy data that would appear OK.

So in theory you would continue to get the same problems, but without the Assist window affected. I'm not sure why you get those problems and they could affect your day to day flying in some way, I don't know for sure.

Even so, I could not invoke those parking problems in my two machines with stock P3D v4 and Traffic Global so I would imagine something was still existing from your original install that interferes with parking, I don't really know why that would be.

You can uninstall the client then rename the original folders back after uninstalling the client. Then install P3D again into the original folders and the addons will be picked up as they were before you made the switch. That's the theory but you had problems you should not have had when you made the fresh install, so I'm not certain all is OK there.

True, perhaps...

I'll be doing some flying this week, so I'll let you know how it goes. From preview C to D I haven't changed installation, so I'm not sure the sudden change.

I have my addons etc back now and everything works.

The switch back to old sim worked better than the previous uninstall.

Yeah, I've switched to stock sim and back dozens of times with that method never had an issue.

Regarding takeoff help: I have included a rudder help system This works when the aircraft is located on the runway start and the throttle manager is engaged with the climb speed preset selected. With the autopilot Altitude lock and vertical speed set, the aircraft will ascend from the runway at the earliest time. What do you think?

...the rudder manages the direction of the aircraft down the runway, but strong sidewinds may present a problem for smaller aircraft. Tested with small and large aircraft, seems to keep to the runway reasonably.
