IF does any of that in the same ways but will not be developed to rely on others software to be installed correctly, working in the right ways or using the correct version for the simulator and so on. Picking out messages and menus from others software to interpret at any time of running is not a reliable thing to do unfortunately. Problems with such will be directed at IF. IF won't be held responsible for problems manifested in the simulator by other software.

I have installed proximity callouts giving distance and direction relative to facing forward.

I have added a drop down list that we can assign sets of settings. We can quickly select a pre set list of callout options and quickly make settings to the groups. Groups are named Start, Pushback, Taxi and so on.

I found a problem affecting the program connecting to P3D if the sim or IF had not closed gracefully. That was a bit of test code from when I started testing the accessible stuff. That and a few other items of concern have been tidied up. The test system is running very slick.

I have installed a keyboard handler from within the simulator. So to start with I have provided a hotkey to surface Ideal Flight during the simulation:

SHIFT + Control + F activates Ideal Flight so that the menu can be accessed without tabbing through the programs on the task bar.

Also I happened to have my phone in hand so I filmed a little bit of flight demonstrating IF speaking along:

...video was a bit short - I added a bit more footage. Reopen the link to run the updated mp4.

I settled on SHIFT + CONTROL + F to raise IF in front of the sim, as that doesn't clash with other keys. Works the same if Ideal Flight is minimized.

10/January/2020:

Latest IF versions include screen reader support by codelegend:

Ideal Flight Professional P3D v4
Ideal Flight 10 Professional P3D v3
Ideal Flight 10 Special Edition
Ideal Flight 10 Original

Still no help instructions. I rushed to get it out for the weekend so please look out for problems.

I really appreciate the work that has gone into this.

I don't understand on the voice settings page what the different phases of flight correspond to.

If I understand this right, can I have, say, throttle settings during departure, and but can turn them off during climb?

I also don't understand what the "Install voice settings start" option is, as it doesn't do anything no matter what flight phase i'm on under quick selection.

On the Voice stings page we have a dropdown list which we can store setups to each item.

Instead of calling those items set 1, 2 and 3, I called them start, Pushback, Taxi and so on and we can remember them better.

The items in the list correspond to any preferred setup of the checkboxes.

Choose an item from the dropdown, choose checkboxes for that setup, then press the Install Settings button to store against the item. Next time you choose that item you get those settings.

If you go in and change a setting, it is only temporary for then, becomes permanent if you press the Install button.

So it is used simply to pull up a quick selection of settings.

Audio seems OK to me, I'm not sure why you didn't hear it. Perhaps your system does not have a compatible codec. The movie was made with the MS essentials editor. I will repeat the process and see if there are any options....
