Time Between Flights

Postby FS1TR » Mon Jan 14, 2013 6:26 am

Steve,

I have IF set to unlimited flights. The only problem I'm having is if I plan a flight from A to B and after landing I plan another from B to C, the flight from B to C will be scheduled to leave before I arrived. This is no big deal as I can easily change the time and regenerate the flight. As I'm typing this, I am remembering a parameter to change the time between flights. If I know I'm going to take 90 minute flights, can I set this to two hours without creating other problems?

Hi Tom,

I'm not sure I follow, but hopefully this might help you:

Once you accept a flight record assessment for flying from A to B so that it gets filed in the records section, your profile date/time is set to the date/time you left the plane.

Now when you make the next flight, the flight start is scheduled from that time plus 15mins (or up to 2h depending on plane size).

If the time date settings in the Flight Generator screen are manually altered, the flight time is assumed to start from then. IF the last thing you do is press the Set Time Date Now button and rebuild, the flight will start at the FSX system time of the PC.

...if not come back

Steve,

What you describe is what I would expect. However, the attached screenshot shows a one hour flight leaving at 8:55 on the left (last flight) and the new flight on the right scheduled to leave at 9:27. I did not adjust the time but I did select the destination.

Hi Tom,
The panel on the left shows the current time of the profile 8:55AM, the time you last landed.
The panel on the right shows the start time of the next flight, half an hour later.
The profile set on unlimited flights per year adds a little time between flights, in this case half an hour, a jumbo may be 2 hours, so a flight would start at around 11AM.

Steve,

Attached is a screenshot of the flight assessment for the flight shown above. It shows a one hour flight with push back at 9:04. 8:55 was the Start time.

Local times are shown. You must have crossed time zones.

In testing just now I got in at 6:14, my next flight is at 6:26.

I'm confused, the screenshot above shows a flight time of 1:00:38 and indicates that I landed at KSCX.

Go to the flight records page and see what time you landed, it's just out of your shot on the left under bank angle.

It shows a touchdown time of 10:10:32. I don't see anything that shows Brakes on and engine off.

Steve, you clearly think this is working. So, why don't I try another pair of flights and see what happens. Maybe I'm missing something.
