Back to IF10

Hi to all
I have been away from IF10 since around the end of last year, had to go with Steam but due to not finding some old REG entries I could not get IF10 to work. Anyway last week I went to RC Simulations to pick up a TrackIR and found they had some Disc copies of FSX, so now back with classic version and back to IF10.

Trouble is I have forgotten a lot, I use ASN for FSX weather usually with REX textures, how will that work ? I like to fly with RW weather so should I just turn off IF10 weather.?

I also use Traffic 360 how does that work with IF traffic generator?

Lastest version or updates? Not sure where I am looking or if there is an update I need apply, is there somewhere that will tell me what version I am using?

Lastly I have been looking at Augmented, I fly GA and the largest I fly is the B1900D from Carenado, is Augmented for me or does it not add anything for a GA flyer.

Sorry so many questions, hope you can help.

Wayne

Hi Wayne,

"I have been away from IF10 since around the end of last year, had to go with Steam but due to not finding some old REG entries I could not get IF10 to work. Anyway last week I went to RC Simulations to pick up a TrackIR and found they had some Disc copies of FSX, so now back with classic version and back to IF10."

Not long after that the program was upated to work on FSX-SE.

"Trouble is I have forgotten a lot, I use ASN for FSX weather usually with REX textures, how will that work ? I like to fly with RW weather so should I just turn off IF10 weather.?"

Turn off IF10 weather to use other weather programs. Turn off IF10 thermals to use other program lift and turbulence.

"I also use Traffic 360 how does that work with IF traffic generator?"

IF10 traffic is made to work with or without other traffic programs. Just keep IF10 traffic low and it adds a few aircraft even when you wouldn't get scheduled flights with the Traffic addon.

"Lastest version or updates? Not sure where I am looking or if there is an update I need apply, is there somewhere that will tell me what version I am using?"

Go to the Download page and Report page:

"Lastly I have been looking at Augmented, I fly GA and the largest I fly is the B1900D from Carenado, is Augmented for me or does it not add anything for a GA flyer."

I use it to follow AI Buddy in and out of unknown airports. In terms of value the >augmented expansion nearly doubles the regular IF10 functionality. Check out the info on the IF10 page to see more about it:

Thanks for the reply Steve, I seem to have version (sf) so not sure if I need to update or not. I will be getting Augmented when I have time not sure what I should do as the IF10 I have was purchased quite a while back. Do I need to install all again?

Missed this application but I always thought it would be worth getting back in to...

Just install latest version over the top will pick up your profiles. If you get >augmented expansion later, you just put the serial key in the lower box in the registration form.

Beware that the old version that registers with codelegend.com is being replaced with "Special Edition" which registers with flight1.com. Make sure you get an >augmented key for the old version. Both versions are otherwise the same.
