I have Ideal Flight Pushback Control stopping at the change of surface. The Assist page has an option to enable Pushback Control and the Voice page has an option to enable Pushback Reporting.

So with SHIFT+P we can start the pushback and it will announce Pushback Initiated and Pushback Started, then it will automatically stop when the aircraft meets another surface material and reports Pushback Completed.

I will make a preview build available after some testing. More control options are planned for after Christmas.

Is there a way to have Ideal Flight stop printing waypoints to SimConnect?

Since TFM reads waypoints as we cross them, and simulator messages, TFM reads the sim message from Ideal flight, followed by the TFM info, not to mention Sapi IF speech if you have that on.

Is there a way to customize what IF sends to the sim as a message?

I'm not sure what you are referring to when you say "printing waypoints to SimConnect". Ideal Flight puts a banner on the screen and with the sapi voice will read those out, for example the flight starting message with the time. Some of those messages might report the Lat/Lon or the name of the current waypoint in the flight plan. In the settings page, more settings checkbox window there are some boxes for In-Flight failures, errors, confirmation and flight announcements messages, those are the banner messages. In the Voice items selections on the Voice settings page there's a checkbox for Simulator Messages.

Hi Steve,

Thanks for this. I need to customize the banner messages and turn some off.

In preview 07 There are a few fixes around detecting aircraft and scenery. Also Voice and Assist pages now activate from F3 (Voice) and F4 (Assist) keys. So in the simulator we can press CTRL+SHIFT+F to bring up Ideal Flight, then press F4 for direct activation of the Assist page.

Still continuing developments:

I've been improving the Assist capability to keep on track during take-off. Starting on the runway, remember to jog a controller first, then using the assist hot keys CTRL+SHIFT+S twice selects throttle control to preset speeds, then CTRL+SHIFT+N three times selects climb speed. The brakes are disengaged and the aircraft starts down the runway. I've got a ten knot sidewind and the aircraft stays on the runway till the take-off point. This is only using the rudder right now so will be continuing to improve that. Also I'm trying out some methods to automatically control taxi to runway and parking along the taxiways. These upgrades will be to the IF10 >augmented (FSX/FSX:SE) and IFPro (P3D v4/5) versions. I shall report more on these systems at a later date.
