...One thing I never noticed before, the PMDG does not show True Airspeed when the simulator is set to display that, only shows IAS whatever is set in the Realism setting. Ideal Flight calls out the True Airspeed and Mach, so I'll include IAS in the callout as well.

Ideal Flight should honestly go by IAS before switching to mach speed anyway. When you're 250 IAS at 10000 IF still says we're over the speed when we aren't.

It does go by IAS so I'll check that out as it was supposed to be fixed in the last build.

Thanks, I had changed everything around and not changed the message trigger. In the Settings.ini there is a percent value for restriction altitude and speed that provides a bit of leeway for triggering the message and the assessment in the de-brief. So that should be OK next build.

There are various programs and modules around that can read text in FMS memory and can read and set memory offsets in PMDG AP, things like that already exist. However, don't forget that I can't bundle public domain software with payware like Ideal Flight. Until I can make that kind of program to work with Ideal Flight and supply for it, do you know if there Is already a module available that can be added in with the PMDG so that it responds to standard SimConnect calls to allow setting AP switches and reading AP values? That would be OK as it's not something that comes with Ideal Flight.

I don't know. TFM is freeware however and is able to access whatever FSUIPC offsets are available for the PMDG aircraft.
I wonder if the new custom aircraft that are coming out for the new FS2020 are using SimConnect or are they also making custom stuff? I know that with the internal aircraft I can get some information with TFM such as next waypoint, time to destination, which isn't possible in the custom payware aircraft in P3D.

As a side note, a significant SDK update to FS2020 was released yesterday that may make the possibility for adding IF support even closer, perhaps. Once I get into the cockpit I can get some info with TFM and it's doable to use that AI copilot for some stuff. I hate having to use OCR to create a flightplan and load an aircraft, so if I can just hit Fly! in Ideal Flight to be at the parking/gate of my departure on sim start would be amazing.

Thanks for the info and helping out as you do is much appreciated.

Agreed, would be very handy to do a simple conversion for Ideal Flight onto MSFS! The SimConnect interface is coming along, but I'm not sure if it is ready for Ideal Fight yet, or at least by the amount that I F uses it, it is vast.

I'll be uploading Preview 12 tomorrow. It has those few niggles fixed with the runway steering and IAS restriction message. The leeway values in the Settings.ini will now work for the restriction. The callout for heading is fixed where it puts two headings together to make a large number. Some other fixes and improvements under the hood smooth things over, including some adjustments to the Assists and a situation with some scenery is fixed, can put an exception in the log but didn't actually cause an issue with running.

I just noticed that if the glideslope drum sound is enabled in the Voice settings, the callout for GSI is not heard. So I've now fixed that but this will have to wait for the next update. So to hear GSI callouts, disable the glideslope captured drum sound in the voice settings and keep the HSI callouts enabled.
