Resuming development next week. A few problems spotted around the Assist AP settings will be sorted out along with some tuning of the rudder control. Thanks for all feedback!

Greetings new users, and thanks for supporting Ideal Flight. Please remember that the assist and voice functions are still in ongoing development.

I'll be doing some flying this week, so I'll let you know how it goes. From preview C to D I haven't changed installation, so I'm not sure the sudden change.

I have my addons etc back now and everything works.

I have another enquiry user with Traffic Global and FSX.

The reason for the sudden change is because in Preview 24 Ideal Flight shows all parking spaces. But in Preview 25 Ideal Flight removes occupied parking in the Assist Window, that is why the error now appears.

With TG installed on your system and the other the error appears the same.

However since I can't reproduce the problem with stock simulator and Traffic Global, there must be some other addon that is conflicting with Traffic Global and parking spaces.

In preview 26 I have installed a work around for this data error in your simulators. Ideal Flight can see that the parking place is obfuscated in these error conditions, but it can't determine how it happens.

Can you think of any other addon that might conflict with TG to cause parking place errors in the data?

No, I can't. Possible guesses include GSX because it does deal with parking, but I'm not sure how in a way that would conflict with data.

The other has GSX also and has problems with the tug not showing. However, you said you tested with only stock sim and Traffic Global, so GSX was not present. Or maybe GSX was present but you didn't mention that? The aim of problem solving is to eliminate possibilities so the idea was to test Sim and TG alone which is what I was doing and could not find an issue with it.

The reason for some of the Assist Autopilot switch functions not working was that they had been temporarily disconnected during testing. Sorry about the problem caused. I have enabled these and will be working again in Preview 27. (FSX version was working OK)

GSX was not installed, no. It still isn't, I've just been using the assist page for now.

OK thanks!

I have tried a lot of ways to get the error condition with Traffic Global installed, perhaps it is a consequence of timing as some AI traffic is introduced during the startup of the simulation. The simulator does not pass all the information about AI traffic in a short time.

I'm hoping a work around in Preview 26 alleviates the problem. It might be that some parking locations showing in the list are occupied by the time you get there. I didn't want to complicate things by forcing the simulation to pause when using the Assist window. Perhaps it is just a compromise we have to accept.

I also altered slightly some code in the Assist window so that it might appear more rapidly. Ultimately it must wait some time for the simulator before appearing.

Remember in FSX and Prepar3D when taking off in a cross wind, that wind pushes the aircraft tail which forces the direction of the aircraft into the wind. That makes it look like the wind is coming from the opposite way.

The auto rudder during takeoff has to account for this and by doing so exerts a good measure of rudder in crosswinds. That might not be enough to control the aircraft back on line. In testing the auto rudder seems OK up to 10 knots even with small aircraft. With the autopilot set on the ailerons will actuate to compensate for the sidewinds and helps keep the aircraft stable. With the autopilot altitude lock enabled that will lift the nose at the earliest and continue to a climb condition at about the correct speed. Use vertical speed at around 500 feet per minute and later increase to requirements when the aircraft is in a stable climb. I posted some help in the Tips page in the support forum regarding setting up the Flight Parameters page items and included in the parameters page of the Ideal Flight help system (F1 key).

With the auto rudder help during takeoff I had used the wrong flag when the aircraft lifted off meaning that the rudder might not return to straight ahead. That's now fixed.

With carful settings and not too high speed crosswinds the Assist takeoff help seems to be fairly good at this point.
