Okay, well phase 1 appears to be fixed. There is no more error. I'm sitting here in my sim at parking 34 in the Mooney at KLAX, and I'm going to paste the lines as I do them here for context. Moving to Gate A 12...

0:00:04:30 16:09:34 63730624119: Text Message: Move to Location GATE A 12

Success, no error. Now, there will be no error when I go to the flight assist page again like there was previously, but I still get this that needs to be looked into.

0:00:06:29 16:11:34 63730624238: Exception: Flight Assistance Page "Populate To Location Items"

Now, I moved to KPHL with my jet, and IF automatically put me at Gate A 4. From there, the assist page came up with no error this time, but I got
0:00:02:09 16:25:43 63730614277: Exception: Flight Assistance Page "Populate To Location Items"
again and could not move to another location at all like I could previously because it put me at a gate as opposed to a parking spot, which is where I'd typically get the error.

Nothing has changed in the program, only the exception trap was added which allows the window to complete.

Therefore I very much needed to see if an exception was in the log when you first popped up the window, before moving rather than after you moved. I suspect that also showed the same exception.

So in effect I have not got any further clues on this. The only change in the program is that the window can show even with your error. And if you are in the faulty location you cannot move after. Or so it seems.

If I could recreate the problem we might get a little further.

In attempting to simulate the issue you are having with the Assist window, I found it is possible that a condition arises while the simulator reports the location of AI Objects. This could be some kind of hold up in the simconnect server but I am unsure without the ability to create the condition.

I have instead organised the code so that the condition will not affect the window appearing or being used in the manner intended. However if the condition arises while the Assist window is being assembled, the "Move To Location" list might include a parking spot presently occupied by a simulation object such as an AI traffic aircraft.

I'll upload Preview 26a, an interim version, so that the Assist window changes can be tested on your present setup.

Thanks as always for your patience and assistance with this problem.

I generated a return flight at KPHL and the automatic parking location put me at a gate.

I got the exception immediately after opening the window.

Should I go ahead and disable all traffic, including if's to see if your theory about AI objects is correct?

Wouldn't hurt, I suppose.

That was P26A, by the way.

Yes, anything you can change to see if the condition changes would be a good idea. If you can find out what changes it I might be able to set up here to reproduce it.

I'm not sure if you are you on P3D v5 or v4? Scenery is completely different in v5. Do you have stock scenery or addon covers that location? Another idea is that parking codes might play a role.

...did you get the Floating point message popup with 26a? Or do you only get the exception item in the log?

Let's have a closer look at this:

You choose the Assist window from the menu and it pops up OK. However in the log you see the exception listed - yes?

Does this happen at any parking place the flight is built for? In other words, if you choose another parking place do you get the same result? Is this happening at any starting parking place?

I'm compiling another version 26b which will trap more items. The problem is that these items are working normally throughout the program. However I'm wondering if the data somehow changes when you are in the simulator and then the data is not complete in some way. At the moment it's a complete mystery as to what's happening at your end so I can only get information by increasing the checking and getting your feedback from the log. So 26b will be along shortly...
