...At the moment I am awaiting feedback on the floating point error as I am unable to find it. The unfortunate problem with crash behaviour was because I did not expect P3D to change it. It appears the user preferred setting is overridden and the values specified in the SDK don't work as detailed. As soon as I have some more on that I can upload Preview 04 which will probably have to go back to reporting the two object load information items. If going back to Preview 02 for now, simply run the exe and use the Update button.

Cargo definitions page

On the page you get the title read out

followed by information about cell types 1=Seat, 2=Seating (multiple seats), 3=Cargo

the page is a control with cells.
this has 3 columns
rows start with the column description at the top
rows follow one for each station as set in the aircraft.cfg
the station number is the left hand column
finally the last row shows the Person weight at 170Lb.
the left cell says person weight and the cell to the right shows 170, we can edit 170.

To read out a cell, press Enter. That enters the cell. To leave the cell press Enter again. We can edit the cell first, then Enter. We can edit the description but it will change back.

last we can tab to the update or ok or cancel buttons. we can update and stay in the form.

I found the source of the FP error. This only affects recent previews with the extended flaps info read out. That's now fixed.

OK I ran out of time today but have fixed the main issues I think. Remember I'm organising development to make things happen as soon as possible rather than do things in a more organised way. Any concerns or ideas please continue to post in here.

The heading readout will be getting a checkbox or two, at the moment disable with the "Equipment" callouts. I'll be trying automatic selections for those voice options. Mostly what we have now is the same items, more or less, we would have for any aircraft. I would like information about the engines depending on engine types, N1 and 2, Temps, manifold pressure, cowl flaps and so on. I'll be trying ways to move the aircraft that is acceptable to other traffic and ATC. IF already knows everything about what's going on so it's just a matter of time. But I want to control without speaking to it, although that's possible, so a couple of hot keys and accessible panel of functions might be what's needed.

I'm making the checkboxes a bit different. Say with flaps, we can have angle or %, one or the other. Instead I'm overhauling that so we enable both if we want. Same for heading and magnetic and levers.

I'm going through how the items in the voice options are grouped, maybe I will add some more subgroups or change some. I hope not to disturb settings we already made.

The Repeat Last Message function ignores the sim paused messages so that we can pause the sim and replay the message. The flight log shows the messages. Also selecting IF the active screen reader will replay the messages LIFO.

The waypoints passing callouts don't get interference from the heading callouts.

The Voice checkboxes can be combined to produce more detailed messages. With the Lever positions we only get one readout with single engine aircraft.

There's no automation for the Voice settings sets yet.

Please make a note of any annoyances.

Other bugs squashed: ORBX airports are properly scanned now, the bug chose to use the Sim folder when it was directed to the migrated folders. AI traffic should work better now as some traffic had bad plans. CPU window and reporting in assessment improved.

Hello,

I'm using the latest preview build, and when I went to start a flight, with the voice enabled...I heard no voice output at all. No "Flight simulator connected" message or anything of the sort. Hitting Shift+F10 through the kneeboard gave me nothing. I tried disabling, then re-enabling the voice in Voice Settings, still nothing. Am I missing something (i.e., do I perhaps have a corrupted settings.ini/config.ini file owing to new options being added?)

Thanks!
Tyler

Working fine here Tyler. Very perplexing, to say the least.
