Slider time works for things that change alone. Switches you set will but in.

Yes I have.

The actual VS does not speak as it changes, but every time an autopilot VS is input it will speak and say "autopilot vertical hold 2000 FT per minute. altitude lock 34000 ft."

Tramp seems to change it a lot to keep a stable climb, but that info is interrupting flight level callouts which I care about more, at least at the moment.

Here's another idea I have as well, for certain critical events. The event can be spoken as well as have a tone associated with it. Examples of events include when the Nav1 radios are tuned to the ILS frequency so we can ready for approach, or when Nav1 has the localizer.

Options could be to play the tone and speak the event, just play the tone or just speak the event as it is now.

Perhaps these tones/sounds can be user specifiable as well.

I see, OK, well the alt lock is supposed to be spoken when you change it. Are you saying another program is changing it all the time? I'm not sure I understand that or why that would happen. You set the alt lock and it climbs or descends to that when AP is on at the VS set, AP usually starts with 700fpm VS.

Yes I was thinking of the same thing, beeps or tones to signify events. Maybe wavs so they can be replaces with personal preferences like the others.

A couple of things to note while I'm preparing the next preview build:

There may be an exception in IF going into the flight with Windows screen reader programs enabled. OK if reader is off.

If the beginning parts of speech are missed for a second or so, that would be a driver problem on the machine, try another output.

When the screen reader is off the Ideal Flight Voice settings page speaks with the current IF voice.

Remember that the IF popup menu allows access to the Voice settings when the flight is running, and also we can run the IF in-sim functions from there too.

In the next build I have included the OBS radial error (offset) from aircraft. The OBS compass setting dials in the desired radial from the selected NAV.

Also now included are the lever positions or engine control values; throttle percent, mixture and prop. Corresponding settings on the Voice settings page.

wow, so your saying that as we open the throttle it will tell us the percent of the throttle so we know how much it is applying power? nice can't wait to test this along with the other fixes.

Yes, exactly, mix and prop included. Speaks out the percent we move the graphical lever to, or using the keys and controllers. I'll be uploading preview 02 any day soon.

...also found the Voice settings form can fall behind the main form and become inaccessible. In that case close IF and restart.

Hi Steve,
I'm wondering if it might be possible to have IF read SimConnect Messages when they pop up?
I just got this working in my Flight Following add-on. FSUIPC exposes this info starting at offset b000.
This allows you to read things like the Pro ATC/x flight plan window, GSX menus, ActiveSky briefings, etc.
Just a thought.

IF reads everything with SimConnect and only SimConnect.

However I think you mean will IF read out FSUIPC messages? IF won't be made to rely on installing other's software. IF works alone and won't be relying on reading memory or injecting message handlers.

Hi,
Not exactly. GSX and Pro ATC/X display info in the sim via SimConnect message windows. Not sure if it is possible to intercept those messages with another SimConnect client like iF. It may not be.
