...I've been generating dozens of flights testing Ai Shadow and installing the new features, all across Europe, seen It each and every time. I've got the "has parking places" filter on.

thanks for replying,

I did have the have parking spot option enabled and my starting location was Kelowna BC (CYLW) and each airport generated was large enough with parking spots, KBLI, KBFI, KGEG, KSFF, KSEA, CYVR. These airports would repeat as I kept generating flights. I also had SID/STAR enabled The flight into Kelowna was from felts field (KSFF) and was the previous trip with the Ai shadow and the next one after multiple tries was from CYLW to CYVR, Does it make a difference what Ai aircraft that I use. I selected the FTX AI Cessna 177 Cardinal.

Thanks again,

Mike

I found a workaround for my problem. If I select a new Ai aircraft, this feature works for the first flight generated, then no Ai shadow aircraft for later flight generations or maybe after the twentieth or more time. Hopes this helps you narrow down this issue.

Thanks,
Mike

Hi Mike
Do you mean the briefing shows no mention of it, or do you go into each flight and find it not started?
Thanks

...I'm wondering if you are using an addon Ai a/c from a traffic program, it's possible the traffic program is interfering with it. When finding problems, it's always best to have a go with a stock airfield and aircraft.

It does not show up in the briefing. I have Ultimate Traffic II. I will disable it and try starting at default FSX airport and report back.

...not showing in the briefing? I don't think the traffic program would be causing any issues with that Mike. Sounds like something else going on, could be distances or range, check with stock aircraft, "Ai only a/c" could be programmed differently in the .cfg and IF10 doesn't put it in with the distances involved. I'll investigate further. Thanks for the FB, I knew stuff like this would come up so I'm committed to getting Ai Buddy situations flushed out and I will upload an incremental version shortly [sg01].

Sorry Steve, I tried disabling UT2 and started at a default airport and have the same results. No ai traffic shadow without selecting a new ai aircraft.

Thanks,

Mike

Yes, I could think of nothing the traffic program can do to stop the briefing coming up with the shadow, must be range calculated, I can fix that.
