What's next for Ideal Flight?

Pushing on with it as usual. Mainly I've been back to progressing the assist and taxi functions. With self-drive to the hold shorts, runways and parking there are a lot of complications so it will be a while yet before that's going to preview.

Thanks to Ron I found in certain situations where the progress bar window completes OK, but that could then get an access violation and the program would require closing from Task Manager.

So I find myself wanting to use takeoff assist again with this CRJ I have. I enabled throttle auto selection in other settings, what does that mean? As I increase the throttle manually it will select the throttle setting?
I enabled climb AP assist etc, but takeoff assist specifically is not activating when I switch to the climb throttle preset. Not sure if there's something I'm missing or if it's been removed from the latest builds?
Speaking of assists, how's progress on the next build going?
Edit: figured out what I did wrong.

Yes, seems to work well with the CRJ. Make sure you have climb assist AP set in the Assistance page AP settings. On the CRJ it will also use the engine braking when landed, I have all the Assist AP items checked from Runway rudder help onward.

Next build is coming along fine. The taxi route is working well, not progressing to actually controlling the aircraft to taxi yet since there are many things yet to put in to do that properly. I've included the proposed route in the briefing and also have a line drawn on the maps. More on that later...

The proposed taxi route can't be known until the sim is running like the active runway due to AI traffic so the best guess is made. As usual in IF we can build a route and run up the sim to see what actual runway is going to be active then rebuild the flight after assigning the runway.

Did an okay flight yesterday with the CRJ and everything seemed alright. ATC gave me a VOR approach though, and being frustrated I may have overshot the runway I just set the AP alt to 0 and it landed off-center and hard due to VS being too much. Guess I should've just been controlling VS at that point but never really did one of those approaches before, it's basically like a localizer approach.
On landing, IF deactivated AP, but should I then do reverse thrust or will IF handle it hands off at that point? Wasn't sure how auto that was so I used manual braking.

When all those assist checkboxes are ticked, the aircraft upon landing will apply the brakes and if there is an engine brake system that will also be engaged. Sighted users can see the CRJ open up the engine deflectors and then close them when the aircraft is stopped. If the aircraft is reasonably close to the centre line Ideal Flight will help to steer it straight down the runway.
