I've tweaked the next build to show the amount calculated when it is more than can be fitted. If the maximum weight of the aircraft is exceeded, then the payload is reduced by removing some luggage to keep below the maximum gross weight specified in the aircraft.cfg.

Remember that very often, aircraft will have an unusable fuel quantity that must be included in the tanks.

With the Mooney that's approximately 6 Gallons that can't be used during the flight. So in the briefing we might see 56 Gallons fuel level, that would actually be a calculation of required 50 Gallons plus the addition of the 6 Gallons unusable.

Sounds good. Seems phase 2 is pretty much complete.

What is the first things to be implemented for phase 3?

I've not made my mind up yet. There's a lot of options so I'm doing some experimentation of ideas to run through as well as assessing a large to-do / maybe-do list. When I'm ready I'll post stuff about accessibility phase 3. MSFS is under consideration, however there's quite a bit of work yet to done by them so I'm having to wait a while on assessing that.

Well, we can't do anything with MSFS right now as far as accessibility. No screen reader/Text to speech support, can't browse the world map or anything to even just load up an aircraft and make a flightplan. UI is totally inaccessible.

An alternative could be IF, I don't actually hardly open the sim anymore, only when installing an addon or changing options. Otherwise, IF opens it for me when I hit fly. Tramp now works with FS2020, but without being able to load up at an airport and create a plan, or even change options it's useless.

Yes. The new simulator is also ten times bigger because of the new graphics. Stick with FSX and Prepar3D for the time being.

Hi Steve,

If I wanted to switch from P3D to FSX and bring Ideal Flight along with me, as I purchased the IF Pro version, what would I need to do?

Do I just have to re-purchase the special edition or...

Thanks. A number of us are discovering that our systems just don't have the firepower for p3D. V4 runs... okay, V5 will absolutely not run. FSX is a lot less resource intensive, crashes less, and I don't have to sacrifice one or more addons just to keep the sim running even on low graphics.

Thanks.

It is a separate purchase from Flight 1 to have FSX and Prepar3D versions of Ideal Flight. They install on the same PC and run alongside each other. However you can only run one simulator at a time.

The FSX version IF10 SE plus Augmented SE has two unlock codes.

The FSX version Special Edition plus Augmented SE purchased together include the full functionality of the Professional P3D v4/5 version and are the same price in total as the Professional version for P3D v4/5.

Please note that the original version IF10 plus Augmented for FSX and the Professional version for P3D v2/3 do not include the voice and assistance functions.

The Prepar3D v5 version is double the size on disk compared to the v4 version. These P3D versions do require more powerful PCs, however with settings turned down enough they should be more or less OK as FSX on less powerful hardware.

So the P3D 4/5 is the only version that has the voice and assistance functions?

It's confusing on the SE page because it says I also have to purchase the regular edition. I only have to purchase SE plus augmented?

For FSX and FSX:SE you need IF10 Special Edition which is the regular version plus the Augmented Special Edition unlock which enables the assistance and voice functions.

The original version of IF10 and augmented do not have the assist and voice.

The voice and assist are available on IF Pro for P3D v4/5 version but assist and voice are not available with the P3D v2/3 version which is called IF10 Pro.
