Payload and passengers

Hi Steve,

I don't know why but some planes work some don't. I mean, on a 6 seater, I have a variable (as per the settings) number of passengers, from 2 to 4 usually, and some baggage or cargo. On the B377, I always fly empty..always crew and cargo, around 3000 pounds. Or on the Dukes, I always have a single passenger and his baggage.
So I was thinking: do you think it would be possible to add in the aircrafts menu the specific payload for each plane? Like number of passengers, cargo load available, etc? Something like FSPassengers payload editor, I don't know if you ever played with it. Together with the range, performance, etc, you could include these infos that IF will use when generating the flight.

I never understood how IF finds the payload available now, but I think it just uses the cfg for each plane (MTOW-fuel-OEW..). This way we could use different configurations in bigger planes (luxury, dense, etc..) as we prefer.

Hi Fede,

This idea has come up before and would be a nice freature.

You are corrct the .cfg is used to obtain the load. Seating capacity which for stock FSX aircraft there is a person weight of 170Lb, this produces the seating figure. Which is different for an FS9 original aircraft.

The load in IF is just random or how you like it set. You then set this load up with the load manager that comes with the aircraft and gives you the seat count- ignore the IF seat count (based on 170Lb each).
