Resizing Ideal Flight Window

Postby jimh20 » Sat Aug 04, 2012 9:46 pm

Hi,
I have kept Ideal Flight up to date, but only now am I trying to get to grips with it properly.

I have three 22" monitors on a TH2GO, and find that the Ideal Flight window is too wide to display properly, hiding behind one or more bezels.

Is there a way of reducing the width of the window? The usual double headed arrows seem to be missing.

Regards, Jim

...misunderstood you,

- have you tried the size setting in the Settings page? (tick icon) -

It's not a "drag to resize" window.

Hi Steve,

Selecting "Small" did the trick. Width is fine, height maybe could be increased a bit, but not to worry.

Your support is phenominal!

There's a lot to get to know in Ideal Flight!

Thanks Jim, won't be long before you are familiar with it all, if you are already familiar with FSX - should not be too bad.

In the next version out any day due to the boxed version being prepared, I've made the size fit the height better. Thanks again Jim.

Thank you, Steve.

I'm getting into Ideal Flight now. I just wish you had written the FSX ATC chatter! Their Controllers seem paranoid! Apart from that - Great!

I have recently started to use a 46inch HD Television as my preferred display for all FSX activity. I previously used a 24inch Dell high res monitor. The loss in resolution to 1920X1080 is greatly compensated by the field of view and would heartily recommend my choice, however. It appears that IdealFlight is incapable of reducing its vertical window size to below 1200? and hence all panels stretch above and below my screen vertical size.
Am I forced to live with situation or is there some way of changing the IdealFlight resolution??

Hi, In the setting page you can change the size of the program window to a smaller one.

Hi Steve,
Thanks for the quick reply. And where do I find the "settings page"? At the moment I have a black Idealflight screen with no visible icons and a scrolling message across the top filling my tv display top to bottom. Sorry to be so naive .
