After doing a clean reinstall of prepar3d v4 and no add ons except ideal flight, I still get select reposition "off ground" and this is in the default aircraft that ships, the I think f22 if I recall, so something is up here, and now, I dunno what it is. Looks like I'm reverting back to preview 14 as it works flawlessly. I see my runways, and gates. etc. Btw this is when hitting f4 to get to the flight assist thing. So is there anythign else I can do besides wait for a fix if there is one for this issue?

I don't know if that is causing your problem of off ground - I hope that is what is causing the problem after all. Apologies if that is the reason for the confusion.

I'm testing this now. Hey, I can see one positive, my sim runs a bit faster now, so I did get rid of some cruft. It appears to work, Do please let me know when I can check that box, or does it matter?

I'm out of here, we have a storm coming, and those always make my whole body hurt. So, no more testing for me tonight.

Thanks again.

The "Allow player placing aircraft on ground during flight" checkbox in "Monitored systems and other actions" will be working properly in preview 16.

It's not actually that box that causes the problem with the Assist window "Move to Location" list as it was tested and working OK originally. It was a later change in another part of the program that altered the meaning of how that works in relation to the Assist window.

So in preview 15, checking the "Allow player placing aircraft on ground during flight" checkbox in "Monitored systems and other actions" will cause the Assist window to ALWAYS show "Off Ground" with any aircraft or scenario.

So, the thing we must do for now is to keep that unchecked, until preview 16.

If you still see "Off ground" in the Assist window with that box unchecked then that will definitely be due to the off ground signal from the sim affecting the Assist window.

In future, the Assist window will always show available places to move to if you have not yet taken off, and after taking off it will only show places to move to after you landed or if you have the "Allow player placing aircraft on ground during flight" checkbox checked. Phew...

What I found confusing was the Off Ground message is during flight so I thought that the fault reported was that after a runway was chosen to move to, the sim reports Off Ground. In the next preview 16; in the Assist window when the aircraft is in flight the locations box will now show "Aircraft in flight" instead of "Off Ground". There is a new checkbox next to the locations list that when checked allows the player to place the aircraft on the ground during flight, in other words, the locations list will fill with locations at the nearest airport. Incidentally, committed profiles do not allow placing on the ground during flight.

I resolved the problem with the latest NVDA version 2021.1 new behaviour in cutting off reading some window captions before it finished reading out. However, I don't know yet if this latest NVDA version is supposed to have changed its behaviour in that way and whether it will revert back in later versions or not.

13/August/2021:

Preview build 16:

Ideal Flight Professional P3D v4/5
Ideal Flight 10 Professional P3D v2/3
Ideal Flight 10 Special Edition
Ideal Flight 10 Original

This version adds the checkbox to the Assist window Move to Location list so that users can place the aircraft on the ground during flight. Also fixes the problem found in the latest NVDA versions 2021 that prevents the window caption from being read out when the title bar is invisible.

This is the first time I've had to deal with liveries/variations of an aircraft.
I put the texture folder in the aircraft folder and added the necessary information to the aircraft CFG file in the PMDG blended winglet version.
But when I reindex aircraft in IF, the new livery/variation doesn't show up under the BW PMDG 737. I notice that with some if it's not done right the new variation will show up as a completely new aircraft and not as a variation of an existing one in the list.
It appears in the aircraft selection of the sim itself so not sure what's going on with IF not detecting it.

I don't have any idea of your problem so I think you'll have to provide more information on your aircraft and liveries and how you've installed them so I can check it out here. There are several ways liveries are installed - liveries are usually picked up from the aircraft.cfg with simple aircraft and have the corresponding folder with the textures in the main aircraft folder, other aircraft might create new versions rather than variations. just because it's picked up in the sim vehicle window does not mean it's installed correctly.

This particular virtual airline doesn't use the operations manager, so I put the texture folder in the main aircraft folder and then the following in the CFG file, followed a template they provided:
[fltsim.1]

What is the texture folder name you used?

Can you send me the variation in a .zip so I can set it up here that would be easier...

I have not heard back on this so I don't know if you fixed it but I installed it exactly as you did and the variation is in there selectable in I F - so unfortunately I don't know what your particular problem is/was.
