No .gfp files

My RXP GTN750 can't seem to find any .gfp files. I've searched my PC but no recent .gfp files were found.
Is Ideal Flight not creating or not exporting them on this PC?

Hi,

You have to choose the 'Export Files' button on the Flight Generator page and choose to export '.gfp' files from the 'File Types' drop-down list at the top.

Provide the folder location you require by using the 'Add Location' button and choose a folder with the folder picker window.

A default folder is included for those: '..\F!GTN\FPL' (for the Flight 1 versions) but you may have a different folder name to set it to. If that F1GTN folder does not exist, the folder picker will open at the location of your sim folder.

You can also choose to name the .gfp file how you would like in the 'File Name' edit box below the File Types list box or leave it as the default IF.gfp.

Also, you can choose the 'Export Settings' button to select options for those files.

One problem you may come up against:

If your sim is installed into Program Files, that is read only by default and so files cannot be written there normally.

You can circumvent this issue by setting the sim folder to read/write (details on this site or ask me) or by running Ideal Flight as Admin.

You can export to 'C:\Users\<you>\Documents\Prepar3D v5 Files' (etc.) since that is read/write.
