Hi Steven,
Go into Select Ai,unchecked all Ai using airplanes and others, close out using ok,go back in and the UTlive Ai are selected again. The save button stays grayed out. Num of Ai set at 0.
At grass rwy fields are Ai that should not be there. Military helo, 747 etc. The default p3d bgl is off, I test with out IF started using the IF flightplan and UTlive. No Ai at these airfields not using IF. With IF there is AI that should not be there. Am using the 08 version.

Do I understand you correctly...
UT Live aircraft won't remain unselected in the AI selection, but all others are OK?
You get UT Live aircraft showing even if AI selection is set to zero?

Reece, I am thinking along these lines;
Since IF automatically incorporates AI aircraft when it finds them in the xml setup - so if they for some reason come back into the P3D installation IF will find them again and show them selected again.
Anyway - let's look at the AI selected for the flight, that might show something:
Build a flight as normal and then go into the flight folder and look at the AI traffic text file in notepad. This must contain the AI traffic selected for the flight. If there's nothing there then IF isn't starting the aircraft.
C:\ProgramData\Ideal Flight 10 Professional\Flight\New\0_AiList.dat. Each entry in the list has a corresponding flight plan \0_Ai0001.PLN etc.

I follow your instructions and it seem to be working ok. No 747 at soft rwys. Thanks.
Glad to know what file shows the Ai. IF is a deep app.

Another thing to look out for is that installers with P3D might add aircraft with the xml method or might use the original method adding "Aircraft Folders".
We can add those custom aircraft folders with the folder picker in the IF startup menu, indexing section. So we can check the list in there as it should not contain entries belonging to the xml installs.
Those addons are managed in the sim with the add-ons.cfg files. In the sim Addons section we can enable/disable addons there which shows true/false in the ACTIVE= item in the file.
C:\Users\you\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\add-ons.cfg <-addons installed for user
C:\ProgramData\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\add-ons.cfg <-addons installed for all users
So we don't normally edit those we use the sim to turn those on and off.
Use the aircraft list html report (round button aircraft page) to see which aircraft have been assimilated by IF and see which folders they come from and if they have Ai capability.
"IF is a deep app."
Yes but it is the sim that is deep and IF facilitates that deepness.
