I noticed this a while back but forgot to bring it up.

Flight Records -> Aircraft Identifier.

Only the first five characters of the Flight Number are being recorded.

The Flight number is truncated to 6 characters by FSX, ATC ID is truncated to 10.
The flight record saves the ATC and Flight Numbers that FSX gives IF since you can start FSX and then choose a plane and do a flight. Changing the values for ATC name and FlightNumber with IF was unreliable and has been left out for the time being. I'm hoping to resolve the issues with changing names for the next update.

..actually i was going from memory, i forgot the atc situation was sorted out years ago but there could well be some issue you noticed, i've finally got round to looking at it so will let you know what i find later...

All I found was that FSX truncates Flight Numbers to 5 characters (6 was wrong) and Atc Id to 9 characters. But the Flight Number box allowed 6 since it says 6 in the FSX SDK (and 10 for Atc, so can't always be trusted). So you probably put 6 chars in the flight number and got back 5 chars from FSX. I've modified the Flight Number edit box in IF to only accept 5 numeric characters to avoid the confusion (and Atc 9 chars). Well spotted Dean!
