missing an associated flight plan

I have been using ideal flight for quite some time now and I think it is by far one of the best addons you can get for fsx.

Everything has worked great for me up until now.

I am doing a cross Canada jump from major city to major city starting in Vancouver and working east.

I am now sitting in Saskatoon and this is where the problem starts. all of a sudden no matter where I try to set my next destination to I get the following error when starting FSX

"The flight you are trying to open is missing an associated flight plan file. The flight will be loaded without a flight plan. IFlight"

Can someone please suggest a way to fix this.

I should add I am using version 10.010rj

I have also tried restarting the program and reindexing and neither has made any difference

Is that a VFR plan?

no it was a ifr plan

what i ended up having to do to get it to work again was:

manually move the plane to Regina in ideal flight and plot a route to Winnipeg

start and then cancel the flight

manually move the plane back to Saskatoon and plot new route to Winnipeg.

I could then load the flight and fly it as normal

so it is working OK now? Could it be somewhere you parked? I wonder if there is a way for me to get that to happen here to test it out properly. There was a parking heading bug in [ri] but I presume ytou parked with [rj]?

if it happens again, can you check the numer of waypoints in the .pln are the same as the number in the .flt,

or send me the pair of files to look at.

Must be something in the .pln that FSX refuses to load.

There are one or two navaids around there that won't load in FSX and since IF goes everywhere, they only get found for use with IF plans...

I had parked last night and went to continue the flight this morning

if it happens again I'll save the 2 files for you to look at.

I don't think it has anything to do with it but the flight immediately preceding this one was my first ever 100% scored flight

100% Splendid. No I don't think this will be it, but well done!

It will be something in the .pln, or a referance to the .pln in the .flt. The only changes were to accomodate for the new approach plans and they just add 4 waypoints to the end of the route. Also the aircraft is started at the proper pitch now, and you can see the suspension compress up when you release the pause at the start.

Other than that, the flight files and plans "should" be exactly the same.

I am having the same problem. I am parked at EKOD (rj) but every flight I try to do from there gives me that messge (rk). I try and load the flight plan manually within FSX but nothing happens. I have attached the flt and pln files for a flight to EDOP.

Thanks. I have just changed aircraft and recreated the same flight and it has worked ok. Is it just that I was parked in rj and am now using rk?
