Take your time. We're not in a hurry, it's only a game after all, or sort of ;)

Your help with this problem is really appreciated Jean-Paul. I've got a lot of mail suggests FS is a way of life for many and they depend on IF a lot. So I've got an impetus to make it as good as it can be with my available resources. Almost everyone that has IF has had some input or other and it's not been possible without this kind help from you, Dean Barry, and the FS community. I'm just prepping [rs_pre4] to see if i've got the scenery right at last. It could also depend on the screen resolution and other factors but I think I've cured it. uploading soon, speak later...

I'm getting the map fine but on one occasion the aircraft was pointing backward in the large map from the map button, but correct in the briefing and the flight.

what about this: try viewing the 3W5 map if its not your departure, i.e. no aircraft...

Steve,

Map hangs even if 3w5 is not the departure.
Removing the 3w5 addon directory (FTX_AA_3W5) lead to "stock FTX" 3w5 to display fine on the map.
So there is something in these BGLs that IF's map generator doesn't like :

i've found something to do with the parking heading, when swapping between formats, but I don't think that's it.

Strange I've got the same scenery here. Have you had any updates or patches to PNW?

Thanks. I'll get on to it. I thought I had them all patched but I'll redo it. There's got to be a difference between our systems...
