Ideal Flight not loading

Strange thing is I think it has a hard time assembling the main page.... if I right click and access the different areas it is fine, however going back to the main page it is having a hard time bringing it up (does not bring it up).

So you start IF and it shows the starting screen OK. Then after a few seconds it displays the airport page with the icons? or do the icons not show unless you hover the mouse over them?

When I bring up IF the initial page shows up, then it goes into the main page, however no icons or text show up. The cursor just spins. I can right-click or hit esc and access the different areas (have not tried to make changes), however when I click the arrow to go back to the main page it just goes back to the spinning cursor and appears to be unresponsive. If I right click and select close IF, it closes the window, however I have to go into task manager and stop the process in order to reopen IF.

Hi,

I’ve changed a few things around, during setup. Hoping this will help with the slow UI problem some have and prevents escaping during aircraft indexing. Also now have a message telling you the aircraft are being indexed.

Steve this was initially better. I did a clean install and the visual queues letting me know when each step was complete helped. The section of the Aircraft Index took several minutes to complete, however once done it worked fine.... but, when I closed and relaunched IF it re-launches the Aircraft Index each time taking several minutes (5~10) to complete before I can begin using it. Once that is complete, it works normally with no issues. Even the closing and reopening works normally.

It appears the issue lies with the Aircraft Index process. Just FYI, I do have an extensive library of A/C.

I will fix the re indexing aircraft each time problem, but...
does the C:\ProgramData\Ideal Flight 10\Profiles\Aircraft.ini file look ok?
do all your aircraft seem ok in the aircraft page?
anything suspicious with the parameters page?

Did not see anything out of line. I looked and it appeared to have all my A/C listed in IF. The ini looked ok to me, however I will look again.
