sorry to say that but still the same problem but the application error does not appear anymore. Tried again different date formates but only the different english setting work. Is anybody else out there with the same problem? I really have the feeling that it might be my system which is causing the trouble?

Thanks for trying it, I've been in German Dutch all sorts and can't get the error up.
I'll just have to dig deeper on this one.

1. Presume works fine in english but no other formats?
2. Is it failing in the same place in the log as before?
3. Are you making flights in an area with addon scenery or eweith an addon aircraft? Is it possible for you to try in a location with stock scenery and a basic aircraft?

I know of two machines that were reporting FP errors, not just with IF. There seemed to be a mechanism intercepting the numbers and trying to change them although they were already correectly formatted. These two machines botrh repaird simply by rebooting in any other language, Then rebooting and changing back.

I've been going through all the formats, number time and date.

How about setting up German date/time/number formats the same as the standard engligh formats. If it fails then, we know there is perhaps something intercepting.

Hi Steve,

currently using rs pre5 -> still the same

1. german, dutch, french, swedish -> doesn't work, all english + welsh, chinese work fine
2. yes; see two typical log files below
3. I tried different locations with and without addons. same result -> doesn't depend on the scenery nor on the aircraft (on of the logs is in tokyo with stock cessna -> same result)

as mentioned above, error occurs only after choosing a parked ac, if I build a flight at the same location with the same ac but select the ac not from the parked ones, everything works fine!
