List Index out of bounds

Postby Brent » Sun May 06, 2018 1:55 pm

Hi Steve

I installed sm_06 this morning and after a flight, if I go to the 'Browse Airports' page I receive a "List index out of bounds (91)" error and the page goes blank with no app navigation symbols across the bottom.

If I first go to the 'Flight Generation' page, instead of the order above after a flight and search on airports and then go to the 'Browse Airports' page everything works as expected.

Incidentally, i was getting the same issue with sm_04. I did check file permissions and nothing seemed amiss.

Cheers

Hi Brent,
So it does not even get to the map page after pressing the icon, just clears the main display and gives the error message?
Does it do the same after each flight? Do you use the tick to accept the de-brief? Do you not need to complete a flight can just end a flight?

Yes

Yes, yes

Also, if I quit IF and restart, then go to Browse Airports I get the same result,

Hi Brent,
Please try Preview 07. I could not reproduce the error but did find a few things to do around that section.

Hi Steve - I installed 07 and I'm still seeing the same problem exactly as I described before.

FWIW, I'm not seeing this with any other Windows apps.

Cheers

Yes I don't expect it's your system Brent. It's a list in IF that's not complete when you go to the map page.
I need to set up like yours to get the error. I need more about your setting to get the problem on my end.

...does it rely on a flight being completed with the tick icon accepted? Or does it happen without completing a flight for example?

I always complete my flight and accept (unless crashing on approach LOL). Should I try it without accepting (i.e do a circuit, land and not accept)?

If you can specify what settings you need to duplicate or anything else you'd like me to try please let me know. Is there a file I can send

Cheers

It's difficult, it could be just one setting that we have different and the list doesn't contain the item that's trying to be selected..

Can you quickly try starting a flight and just end it - don't even bother to take off?
