Still [sg] in final testing. Check out [sg18] in the newbuilds section - weather improved.

If you have >augmented try the Flight Recorder; after a flight view the Track.csv file in Excel or any program that can make sense of comma separated values, look in popup menu Explorer Locations: Log folder. Also if you are flying on VATSIM, please look for the VATSIM Flight Plan Prefile, in the popup menu "Internet Locations".

There was a problem reloading saved games in [sg18] which makes things hard to test.
I've uploaded [sg19] right away.

Still finding one or two minor things to sort out before official version [sg] is released. I've uploaded preview 20 available in newbuilds...

Ideal Flight Professional for Prepar3D v4 (10.027eb) has survived the initial surge of take-up with no reports of problems so far. It's a new release and I'm sure something will pop up and need adjustment. Currently I'm moving through the app retesting and evaluating other ideas and requests. Any problems surfacing will be handled with a release 10.027ec in a timely manner.

Feature matching releases of Ideal Flight 10 (FSX/FSX:SE) and Ideal Flight 10 Professional (P3D v2/3) are coming shortly, although these can be obtained now from the Preview discussion in the New Builds section.

I know it will disappoint some but unfortunately extending IF10 Pro P3D v2/3 to handle P3D v4 surfaced far too many problems, and the risks to the stability of the code were too great - a new app was demanded to concentrate on the Prepar3D v4 platform going forward - a vast amount of work was required for this implementation. It's a new paid-for app, support works the same way as it does for IF10 including updates as required and the same price to all.

Prepar3D v4 brings 64bit code and Unicode character sets. At this time Ideal Flight Professional for Prepar3D v4 will not install to a Windows UserName with Unicode character sets outside the standard 8 bit set. However all Unicode functions are in place and working in Ideal Flight Professional. A UserName Unicode version of IF is working in the development stage and may become available if demand requires. At the moment the app is deliberately being kept to the more simple codebase while new to simplify support for the time being.

Thanks to everyone supporting Ideal Flight!

Still getting no reports of any decent problems with latest IF versions. Fixed a few niggles but one thing came up a few times before - where's Ai Buddy?

One problem for in-sim AI traffic is that the sim allocates less than half the available parking spaces to departing traffic. So if there are only three spaces Ai Buddy cannot be injected. So I've improved that a bit in the next build. The program will try to inject Ai Buddy after pushback. If the airport is clear enough Ai Buddy will appear and the IF Ai Shadow menu will appear when it starts. Also I've added a function to instruct Ai Buddy to match our altitude for its own cruise altitude.

Latest builds available on the forum. New Profile Glyph and adjustable Clear Text throughout.

Text size can be adjusted on the Settings page.

Drag and drop your picture onto the profile glyph to highlight the profile. Or recolour the default internal glyph by clicking on it and choosing the colours, foreground, background, shadow.

Current versions are at Preview 02. Work continues...

..just a note about running as admin:

If the system has software that requires running as admin, then we need only set that in the IF desktop shortcut. IF starts, asks for elevated privileges, and in turn when we start the simulator from IF, the sim acquires the Run as Admin privilege.

Remember that this will prevent IF, and indeed any software, from accepting drag and dropped files. To add our own glyph images we must right-click on the glyph and choose open file. Accepts images of png, jpg and bmp.
