Airplanes Folder on Different drive

Postby Colsligo » Fri Oct 18, 2013 2:17 pm

I have moved my airplanes folder to a different drive. How do I get IF to link to this folder?

Think you need V(sf) for alt aircraft locations.

Excuse my ignorance - what is V(SF)?

It's the new version of IF that will be out soon hopefully.

Sorry to be such a bad liar about version [sf] coming out "soon" over the last year, but there's a lot to it now. But yep, don't panic it's coming soon and it is a significant update. Also there is an Upgrade coming out at the same time which almost doubles the feature set of IF10. More very soon indeed. Thanks molleh.

Things IF10 already did such as programming weather stations outside the bubble, constantly interpolated winds, and real theory placed clouds layers, has been enhanced and will continue to be possibly the richest atmospheric environment available for FSX. In other words enhanced realistic fictional global weather and thermals. And by global we are not talking about weather the same all over the globe, we are setting the entire Earth's weather systems as it might be from pole to pole, wherever you fly. So in short expect better weather with IF10 version [sf], and if you already own IF10 you're getting that amongst a lot of improvements across the board.

Some other interesting news is I've got together with Duncan “Slopey” Murray, and hopefully we will be able to look into getting IF10 to pick up the next AH2 job for the next IF flight, or something of a symbiosis, that's Air Hauler 2 destined for Q2-Q3 2014. Hopefully I can get some kind of automation going.

I'm going to continue pushing IF10 ahead with more improvement, without adding complexity, keeping it IF.

There is a post about setting up other directories for addon user and and Ai aircraft in the General Use & Ideas section. That reminds me, I must get in touch with Duncan.
