Length of Approach Legs?

Postby jimh20 » Sat Aug 26, 2023 3:41 pm

Hi,
Is there a way to edit the length of these legs, especially final approach? For example, I'd like to descend sensibly, with enough distance in hand to engage "Approach", and descend to the runway on the glideslope. My present plans have a final leg too short.

Regards, Jim

Hi Jim,

Times between waypoints are computed based on the aircraft speed settings you set in the Aircraft Flight Parameters page accessed from the Flight Generator page or the Aircraft Selection page.

Also from the Flight Generator page, have a look at the "Mission" page. Near the bottom are the special approach settings. With the computed approach for example, you can set the leg times individually for a 60deg/30deg final or a 45/45 final (45/45 set in other approach settings).
