Hi Steve

Just wondering if it would be possible in a future update to record and summarize the number of hours for each aircraft flown (e.g. A2A C182, PMDG 737 NGX, etc.), perhaps on the 'Pilot Profile' output?

Yes, good idea, it's on the list from the early days. However there are complications to get reasonable data. For example there's dozens of 737s, they can be called anything in the aircraft files. How are they grouped? Does the user choose them or does an algorithm logically group them or both and we want them split by model and manufacturer as well.

Well, just looking at the aircraft flown in my Pilot Profile, could we simply separate by:

Sim Manufacturer ('ui created by' in aircraft.cfg)
Aircraft model ('sim' in aircraft.cfg)
Flight # or name ('ui variation' and/or 'ui type' in aircraft.cfg)

I had never noticed before how different each of the aircraft.cfg entries was depending on where it came from. I went through all the planes I had kept a record since I first started using IF and these would seem to work.

Here's a small subset of the the aircraft I looked at (hours are fictitious) :
'ui created by' , 'sim', 'ui variation', ui type'

A2A Simulations Inc., C182, C-GURS, C182T Skylane 234.6 hours
Lotus, L-39-LR, Private C-GOZA, L-39C Albatros 93.7 hours

Just checked out your sj06 update and you did a beautiful job of capturing the aircraft hours flown! Who knew I'd flown the A2A 172 3x more than the A2A 182!
