got this on demo at the moment, like it a lot but have a couple of questions, usually fly Air Haulier but fed up with that at the moment.

can I use active sky 2012 with IF?
can I use my addon aircraft? mostly GA.
can I print out the Flightplan that goes to kneeboard?
and finally does IF randomly send me anywhere and I specify how much time I have to fly, read that in a review but obviously demo version doesn't show all functions fully....
looks a really cool program, if I have to chose I tend to fly to and from places repeatedly.

Addon traffic programs just work away in the background scheduling their aircraft. What I find is i'm flying at all times of night and day and often no scheduled flights around. With IF10 you can specify a very few Ai operating around your schedule to add to that so you always see something moving around when you fly. IF10 Ai only operates around your schedule. In the >augmented expansion an Ai buddy flies IFR with you.

Notes: The IF10 AI Aircraft system can use any addon Ai Aircraft like those in 360. However as always with this sort of thing you will have to experiment with that. Generally I have IF10 select from the addon Traffic Ai aircraft and find no issues. Usually issues crop up with using advanced user aircraft for Ai operations, sometimes these act weird maybe dance around at the gate.

right then I have bought this, just playing with menus, want to set my own profile do I just edit 'JOE PILOT?

Also for some reason when I look at help or profile it shows in notepad and not a browsers, I did that in the demo version so is there something lurking somewhere that put it to notepad? and can I change it to open in a web browser? please say 'yes' and explain how.

Yep, just put whatever name in you want for the profiile.

With the Help and other documents are in .htm format. It seems you have your Windows set to Open .htm files with notepad rather than the browser. Not a problem, run Explorer and right click on a .htm file - look in C:\Program Files (x86)\Ideal Flight 10\help and right-click on a .htm and choose "open with" Internet Explorer, and check the "Always use this" so that the browser is used for .htm files. Then when you press F1 the browser will load the Help.
