...holding CTRL or SHIFT and pressing Build also does the job of building a reversed route in one go. The IF: Clock icon builds the flight with the time set at the next profile time period, so that setting unlimited flights in the Profile page makes the next flight time ASAP from when the last flight ended, and setting twelve flights per year results in one flight per month or thereabouts, quickly progressing through the seasons to experience the weather. Holding CTRL or SHIFT down and pressing the IF: Clock icon now forces the rebuild to be ASAP...

Someone recently asked if Ideal Flight Weather produces fronts, clearly defined changes in view, horizon to horizon cloud cover, and proper winds and atmospherics aloft with no sudden shifts exerted on the aircraft. All done in the very first version of IF to emerge, which the website shows pictures from that first version released free to tFSN members http://flightsimulatornetwork.com/ at the time.

Here we are at 20,000ft, a montage of two views from the same paused scene over Scotland, it's not too windy around 15 knots with no sudden changes in direction or wind speed, just gentle changes, it's around 25C below outside, a clearly defined weather front can be seen in the distance and can be flown to, around, and into, assuming it's not gone before you get there, the weather stretches out of sight, complete cloud cover is achieved without multiple layers or adjustments to the default FSX settings.

Another teaser; a montage of the Approaches and Departures section for Approach Waypoint type plans:

How about this interesting little route, a shot of the departure uses the Fix GOSDA on the way out from EICK runway 17 the IDF, the Fix SD18 is ILS18 the FAF, STW is the nearest VOR to the airport off-route:

I'm still putting every effort into the next update and Upgrade Pack. As time moved very far along due to unforeseen problems of getting time to work on IF, I have brought forward lots of planned mods and upgrades into the next update. Current owners of IF get a big update with a complete overhaul of all IF pages, subsystems and functions, and a load of new and enhanced features. Purchasers of the upgrade pack will discover the most sophisticated program ever devised for FSX has been enhanced by a Nautical Mile.

At the moment I'm doing special mods for Magnetic Declination. I'm finalising functions to do with integrating Biased data between the simulation scenery or the real world using NavDataPro and Navigraph add-in navdata. I'm installing SID and STAR waypoint systems into the auto-route generator and increasing the approach route types. I'm finalising functions for current set of the exported FMS files - more types supported in the update to follow.

[sf] is being tested very thoroughly, but the version [sg] will be made ready very soon after to clear up any issues arising with [sf].

Thanks very much for being so patient and continuing the excellent feedback (esp. stig, VB, brent, molleh, and several others).

Sounds excellent Steve!

Three/four flights into your program, and I'm loving it!

Just did my 41 flight.. If it was not for IF I would not have time to do so many. Thanks for the update info I check the site often. I can hardly wait for the update. Thanks Steve. ;)

Steve... For a further update down the road, would it be possible to implement a function, that will place content of the kneeboard for the generated flight, into the default flight. This way, one could load the default flight, and then an add-on aircraft, but still see the relevant info on the kneeboard...? As suppose to having to load the entire generated flight (.FLT) from IF...

Nothing urgent, but as sprinkles on the icing, so to speak;)
