Normally the SIDs/STARs would be selected in the GPS/FMC when you have them from ATC. But they can be entered into the route beforehand for fun/practice. Yes there is permission required to use the files computationally. There are features that could be enhanced but other parts of the program have taken priority. I am looking into this as part of the featureset for an upgrade later.
For now I would look to extract lines with notepad, find an appropriate approach:
APPROACH VORD06 FIX 65DME 2500 FIX DME05 1900 FIX DME02 AT OR ABOVE 1400 FIX OVERFLY DME01 344 RNW 06 TRK 063 UNTIL 2000 TURN LEFT DIRECT FIX HN AT OR ABOVE 4000
From the list of fixes, choose Edit Plan, copy paste them straight in before the destination:
FIX 65DME LATLON S 9 28.65066 E 159 54.84966
FIX DME05 LATLON S 9 28.1775 E 159 56.29182
FIX DME02 LATLON S 9 27.231 E 159 59.17602
FIX DME01 LATLON S 9 26.2842 E 160 2.05986
FIX HN LATLON S 9 26.10666 E 160 2.23836
These wapoints then appear in the plan, and are computed for in the fuel and ETA. Only works with FSX plans.
Thanks for your support
