The thread puts IF in good light and suggests that what IF does is hidden by a clunky interface. I've had quite a few letters tell me the interface is good so I've left it for now. But it's what goes on under the hood that is worth getting right first; routes, weather, airport filter, briefing, are all very complex problems, and is just starting to get noticed... :ugeek: because of people like you. Fantastic, your support is very much appreciated. :D

A minor follow-up question....

A couple of my aircraft are acrobatic, and I don't necessarily want IDeal Flight to penalize me for excessive bank, pitch, etc.

Am I correct in assuming that:

* I should create a custom monitor file for each of these aircraft

* Within the monitor file for these aircraft, I should set PitchRate and BankRate so that the Assessment attributes are "-1" and the Weighting is 0? (Similar to how YawRate is depicted in the default)?

On a related note, any suggestions for editing the FlightG characteristic so I get penalized if I get to really dangerous G levels, but that the G levels typical in acrobatic flight aren't penalized? I'm not really clear on what assessment, weighting, and attribute do and how they relate.

There should be some monitor files for acrobtic aircraft, accidently left out in the last build, will be back in [rg]
In the meantime have play with the monitor files - they get an uprade with [rg] so perhaps wait for that (very soon now).

Thanks, Steve.

I'll hold off and wait for the files in [rg], just to give me a point of reference.
