Hello,

When I try to start a flight using IF 10.027F03 (beta build), I get the error mentioned in the subject of this post. I have tried rebuilding my aircraft and scenery index, to no avail. Trying to fly a Boeing 757-200. I did not encounter this problem yesterday on 10.027F02 flying a 737-800...the aircraft and the IF version are the only two things that have changed. Please advise.

I suspect you mean the message comes from IF?

I suspect it would be reading out something, Try disabling some voice aspects until the message stops. Then let me know what you disabled. That will make it easier to find.

The way to do this is to run Preview 03 since you say you did not get the error with the previous build 02.

And we want to load the 757-200 first and get the error to come up so we can start to eliminate.

Then we will enable / disable the voice to find out if it is a voice command and if so which one. In other words, does the error appear when we enable the Voice.

The problem might not show if we load another aircraft or start at another airport since the initial conditions might not be precisely the same and so do not create a voice with the problem in the text.

I don't have too much to go on and so far after a few hours I have found no clue as to where this message comes from.

Can you tell me at what stage does the error pop up? Does it pop up just as you start the flight from the Fly! button? Or does it pop up when the flight started message beeps? Or at some other time?

This popped up right after the "Starting Flight Simulator" message, but before P3d started. It happens with the Boeing 757-200 United Airlines from Simviation, but not with a 737-800. Same error whether or not the voice is turned on. When you click OK on it, it leaves IF in an inconsistent state where the only way to fix it is to close IF completely (Exit Flight from the popup menu does nothing).

There is a difference in the aircraft file, so I must check a couple of things:

Are your settings in US English? Or another language?

Can you paste in the text content from the aircraft.cfg of the 757-200 United Airlines from Simviation? There might be something IF mis-reads as a floating point value.

OK Thanks. That narrowed it down quickly. I found it. It is a problem with the new functions where IF reads out the flaps positions. That won't affect all aircraft.
