In the menu you can choose to show the complete html aircraft list in the browser. Sighted users click the multiple planes round button to the side of the panel.

In the P3D folder there are:

CH-46, CH-53E, H-60 (Virtavia), Robinson_R22, S-97, UH-60.

The CH-46 and S-97 are AI.

Getting back to tours, you should be ok for now with one icao per line after the tour designator on the first line.

In tour file examples attempted there were departure-destination pairs.

So the question is: can a tour be represented as disparate departure-destination pairs? This could require moving the player to a new departure for another part of the tour instead of flying there.

Or should a tour only go from one airport to another?

Or a bit of both.

With an empty tour file loaded we get the current home airport and the Tour specifyer:
Code: Select all
[..]
EGAA

At the moment in Preview 11, I can put this kind of data in a tour text file:
Code: Select all
[..]
EGAA
EGBB 12:55
EGCC 12:55
EGFF 2:55 EGGD 9/5 EGKK 2:55 9/5
EGLL 9/5 2:55

EGNM
EGPF

and after loading the file or selecting an item in the list I get:
Code: Select all
[..]
EGAA
EGBB 12:55
EGCC 12:55
EGFF 2:55
EGGD 9/5
EGKK 2:55 9/5
EGLL 2:55 9/5
EGNM
EGPF

This builds flights with the start date and or time set as well, seems pretty cool.

I can enter an ICAO followed by a time and or date, or on its own. Times and dates can be formatted with or without seconds or year specified:
Code: Select all
23:59
23:59:59
1/1
1/1/1999

Amazing Steve, thanks!

I'm running into another problem. I'm at my home airport if KPHL with a new profile for yet anotherVirtual Airline, and they have a GA division that allows for choppers.

at either KPHL or KEWR, is there no compatible airports around with a helepad? In which case, I'd try to find the nearest available helepad airport and start from there, and find another helepad airport to land at.

Browse airports doesn't really help me like I thought it would in this case. With doing new destination I always get the adjust airport filters or times message. Well, I have helepad ILS checked and no go. Maybe I have to make my times shorter?

Are we going to get the first iteration of the IF reader in preview 11 as well, or has that been put on hold for 12 because of this awesome new tour functionality?

I can leave the reader till P12 so you can get the tours going properly.

Just made a new profile for a new idea I have. With filters at defaults, I move to KPHL and get no airports, but vestle locating missions.

Why is this?

I'm pretty sure there's airports around KPHL to go to with default filters enabled. I want to change to go NW SW, but I'm trying all quadrents for now until I can figure this out.

So I made a new profile and I moved to KPHL and then went to the Flight Gen page and pressed Search and I got, as you would expect, a lot of airports in the list, and a vessel locating mission as the departure is near the sea or open water. You may be able to select No Mission by moving to the top of the list and saving, the No Mission should be checked that way or wait for P11.

When you get no airports it is IF's way of telling you will have to change something, like the flight times for example. Since you need IF to pull out only those airports you want, rather than give you some when your selection criteria is poor or the plane is not ideal for nearby airports and so on. Ideal Flight scans a doughnut shaped area around the departure. If in doubt set flights from zero, to 5 hours, to scan a larger area and includes nearby airports.

When I first checked I thought, I know what I did there. Then when I went to check through I found things were actually OK, various tests appear to read out the correct messages.

Do you still get the wrong message, and if so, can you remember what it is. If I can look up the bad message that makes it easy as I can track its entry into the proceedings.
