Ideal Flight and Aerosoft CRJ landing practice (video)

Hi all,

Finally was able to click the go to final approach and do some landing practice with IF approach waypoints included.

Really wish there was a way for me to somehow stay on the center. Every time I crossed IF's TDWN waypoint and the RAS said 'caution: taxiway"... GRR!

So it wasn't the aircraft after all, it was NVDA failing to click the go to approach menu probably due to something small being in the way. Looking forward to preview 3 when this should no longer be a problem.

Here's a video with me practicing the same final approach a few times.

What's this mean?

It really has nothing to do with Ideal Flight, I guess it has more to do with Tramp. Either that or the Runway Advanced system or whatever isn't giving me correct information since a runway can also be a taxiway which one can cross.

What I mean though is as soon as my aircraft crosses and/or arrives at the TDWN waypoint, it's about 300 or so FT up almost at touchdown. First the runway system said approaching 1 5, which is where I'm supposed to be going, then I hear the beep from Tramp which says I've crossed a waypoint, in this case TDWN, followed by "caution: taxiway" from the runway system. It's the first time I'm using a high end aircraft with one of these in it, hence the landing practice.

Ok that's normal. The touchdown point in IF is a little in from the end of the actual runway strip, there are often taxiway and other parts beyond runway ends which make the runway appear to look longer but these parts don't have the strengthening of the actual runway landing points.
