Can the great IF app close other apps when IF is close? I do use it to open apps.

Yes it can close them but it is not enabled for other reasons at the moment. It is one thing I would like to get going and has been on the agenda for a long time. That side of the program is actually being updated shortly along with extending the starting parameters and making a list available on a per profile basis. So we will have the system start list we have now to start apps and exe's that any profile would need, then if required we can put one in per profile for differences only affecting that profile. Generally if we try to restart an app when it is already running it doesn't matter, but some might create another instance of the app. Thanks for the excellent suggestions as usual!

The 'Time Delay' items, add time between applications starting in the same period. Choose Seconds or Milliseconds (1000ths), enter the count in the Parameters text box.

How do you write the seconds In the parameters box. I put 120 and there was no delay when the app started.

Set up your .exe or .bat to start at which stage you need it to start.

Check that works first as there's a problem that stops you putting in the time for new start item.

Now go back and edit the item: In the Start Other window, Where it says "Start Item" on the right is the dropdown list, default shows Start Program, choose Time Delay (s) for seconds and put in your seconds.

Press OK and you should see "wait for (s): 120, Show Window."

If you dont want to see the app choose Hide Window.

The section is undergoing improvements.

If ever you find IF won't start or something peculiar like that happens, check the Config.ini:

C:\ProgramData\Ideal Flight Professional\Config

- make sure there's no entries in the start-list that can't complete:

[RunOther]
RunCmd_1=
Params_1=
ShowWindow_1=
Disable_1=

[RunAfter]
RunCmd_1=
Params_1=
ShowWindow_1=
Disable_1=

[RunRunning]
RunCmd_1=
Params_1=
ShowWindow_1=
Disable_1=

[RunWithIF]
RunCmd_1=
Params_1=
ShowWindow_1=
Disable_1=

If in doubt delete any section and IF will re-create it.

That kind of problem becoming averted sometime during the new version previews.

Yes, if you put in the app without the time, then save it, then go back in and put the time in afterwards, you can put in the delay only then.

:D

(It's to do with other possibilities within the machine, so it must save away first until a new section is in place.)

STill does the same as what I wrote above.

Sorry, my explanation is duff!

Set up your program to be started at 120s, use the '!' exclamation mark button on the right to see it starts the app.

Now for the delay:

Choose Add Program - not the same one a new one. Choose time delay seconds. The path box is greyed out. enter 120 in the parameters box. Press OK.

Now in the list use the Up button to move the delay above your app.

in the list for that section you have a wait for 120 and an exe startup below.

Again press the '!' button.

The app should wait for two mins then start up.

Instead set for 12 seconds to test it quickly.
