Flight Count

Hi Steve, quick question ..... I've restarted my cross country flight and have flown 2 legs but it is only showing one flight. Do I have to do anything after my flight is done? I didn't do anything after the first flight and it recorded that one. Just curious what I have to do so I can start from where I last landed.
Thanks Steve. Bill

Hi Bill,
After touchdown, park the aircraft. If you leave FSX running, go to IF and choose to end the flight. If the flight is complete the accept tick comes up for you to add the flight to the records. Accept the flight.
Now generate the next flight in IF. When you start the flight, the flight will start from where you left your aircraft parked, unless you chose to start from the runway (in the flight generator page), or chose another plane.

Steve

If you are starting FSX from the IF "X" button, FSX starts at the menu. This is a little different.
Choose the aircraft and location and start the sim. Once in the sim, and ready for the flight, pull down the IF: Main Menu and choose Start Flight. This tells IF that it is the starting position for the next flight.
Do the flight. When you have parked up, the flight is completed as usual, and the location of the aircraft will be used for the next flight.

Steve

Hey Steve,
I always see the green line on top when I start pushback. So i know it's started. Now when I end the flight I usually taxi to parking and shut the plane down, but I don't remember seeing anything at that point. Then I just escape to the shutdown menu and exit. Should I see something indicating that the flight is over according to the IF flight plan before I escape out of the game?

A properly completed flight will add the "flight completed" item to the IF: Main Menu.
Once you stopped, you will also see the "flight completed" message at the top, but that only stays for the message time set in the IF setting page.
