Very short approach legs

Postby flyforever » Sun Nov 26, 2017 6:40 pm

HI Steve,
Something funny is happening, but don't know why. IFR plans with approach fixes fails to create adequate approach legs. No matter what airport or settings in "mission" I choose, the flight plan always ends up with very short approaches.
I've attached a sample for demonstration. In this case, I edited the runway, and ended up with what I've described.
I've reindexed the scenery.
Hope all is well.

Oops, my mistake. I had seconds instead of minutes for the approach legs.
It took a quick re-look to catch the error.
You can go back to sleep, now.

HI Steve, I think I might have spoken too soon.
Anyway, the "approach legs " time are set as follows:
long, 6min, 4, 4, 4, 4
Yet, the map shows only the final leg being affected, while the other approach waypoints are in seconds, thus creating a 90 turn on final.
By the way, does the "upload attachment" work? I upload the example image, but don't see it on my end.

What are your landing and approach speeds set to? Also the map image can't show accurate legs with some routes, especially short routes. What does the route table look like?

The only way I can get it to do seconds is by inputting 0:02 rather than 2:00 minutes. Once I set in 2 seconds for say "Long", then next time I choose "Long" I get 2 seconds.
