Save and advance error message

Postby Revs » Sun Feb 05, 2017 8:00 am

Hi Dave.
Using IF Pro I get the following message when trying to save or advance a flight.
"Below Minimum Altitude, Above 500 ft"
I have re installed but still get the same error.
Flying E-Jets v2 for P3D.

H Ron,

When Advancing we have to actually have gained enough altitude to clear the terrain ahead on our projected plan.

Advance time is not the same as the Go to features which we can say Go to Final or Go to Approach we can do those at any altitude, we can be on the ground before takeoff if we want.

To use the Advance time feature, take off, complete the ascent, then use Advance. If you are within 500ft of terrain ahead you will get the message.

I hope that helps.

I've been checking on my main rig and all seems to work pretty good. Doesn't sound likely unless the ground altitude is not reported correctly, I suppose the plane could affect that somehow but it's not likely.

Anyway; first make sure these settings are stock in IF10 Pro Config.ini:

C:\ProgramData\Ideal Flight 10 Professional\Config\Config.ini
same as:
C:\Users\All Users\Ideal Flight 10 Professional\Config\Config.ini

open the file in notepad and check in the FSSetup section:
[FSSetup]
..
EnableStartupReload=True
EnableStartupReset=True
LoadDefaultFlight=True
..

Next make sure your default flight is stock, delete:
C:\Users\Steve\AppData\Local\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3\Prepar3D_Default.fxml

and it will be remade when you next start P3D

If that is not helping can you try Advancing in another aircraft?

Hi Dave,
Did a full check on your suggestions but could not find C:\Users\Steve\AppData\Local\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3\Prepar3D_Default.fxml. I am running Windows 10.
Everything else was in place but after hours of tinkering I decided the quick and easy way was to reset my PC.
This has solved the problem and at the same time tidied things up.
One other question. Does Active Sky and Rex 4 sit well with IF 10 Pro?
Thanks for your continued support.

Hi Ron

The folder would be with your name:

C:\Users\Ron\AppData\Local\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3

or if you are running P3D v2

C:\Users\Ron\AppData\Local\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2

it is the folder where you would see Prepar3D.cfg the main configuration file for the sim.

Anyhow. Glad you got things going. REX and AS are working great with IF10 Pro. Just use REX as you see fit and remember with AS to turn off IF10 Pro weather and set the departure and destination winds on the IF10 weather page when you see the AS weather reports, then build the flight so to get the runways predicted. You can use IF10 thermals and turn off AS thermals. Run the IF10 setup program to use the popup menu to turn on and off the sim random thermals.

Don't know where I got STEVE from, apologies!
Good to know I can use Rex and AS.
Thanks again.
