IF starts P3D twice

Postby darem » Sat Nov 12, 2016 6:14 pm

Hi Steve,

maybe you can help. On my system, IF Pro, when starting a flight, first loads the default flight and only then the planned flight, immediately afterwards.

How can I stop this?

Hi darem,

You probably don't want to stop it doing that otherwise certain systems won't be online usually AP, but all depends on the aircraft. So IF10 Pro defaults to loading the default.flt first.

You can disable it in the config and see how thongs work with your aircraft.

C:\ProgramData\Ideal Flight 10 Professional\Config\Config.ini

[FSSetup]
EnableStartupReload=True
EnableStartupReset=True
LoadDefaultFlight=True

Set
EnableStartupReload=False
EnableStartupReset=False
LoadDefaultFlight=False

Have a look in the Help Initial Screen / Walkthrough page - scroll down to "P3D Startup and Default Flight". In the meantime I'll have a look how this works with the current v3.4 version and if I can provide any other options now.

Instead you can try starting P3D from the IF10Pro P3D icon and then at the P3D scenario loading screen choose from the [Ideal Flight] flights.

We either start the sim to the scenario page before loading a flight file (fxml) or allow the sim to load a default flight before loading a flight file. Otherwise we see some items in the fxml are ignored by P3D. For example with a basic B58 fxml loaded first the date and time are ignored, but loading after the default flight the sim correctly picks up all the items described in the fxml. No change with current v3.4 version.
