PMDG 747X

Postby Bees Knees » Wed Apr 27, 2016 9:11 pm

Using the above aircraft with latest version of IF. Having problems getting the correct payload and fuel weights into the 747. Will IF load the correct payload and fuel or do I need to use the PMDG options.

Thanks

Bryan.

The IF10 fuel and payloads are standards in the flight file. Some planes ignore those and require their own loading applet that we use to set to the same as the IF10 briefing values that way. I'm not sure the PMDG does it that way though. What IF10 are you using?

OK get hold of [fc] beta pre_15 the latest build from the newbuilds section, preview discussion, there has been a few changes in that area. Have another go with that.

Ok, downloaded the reccomended update and some improvement.

IF is correctly loading the correct payload in terms of passengers and baggage, but is not loading the correct amount of fuel.

When I use the PMDG fuel loader via the add on menu to add the correct weight of fuel then everything matches in the FMC nicely.

The fuel is set in the plane as a percentage filled per tank in the flight file. But the FMCs won't be set with fuel by IF10, although the Export files will program the waypoints. When you finish a flight look in the de-brief for the fuel report which shows how much you used and predicts the Range based on the way you flew the flight, put that Range into the Flight Parameters page and the fuel prediction will sharpen up.

I am really liking the IF fuel predictions, but have run into a problem when reloading a saved flight with IF.

Aircraft is PMDG 747x.

If i attempt to reload the flight whilst FSX is running everthing seems to come back normal apart from the FMC data, the VNAV data is missing. This happens if I attempt to load from the IF menu as well.
