IF and FS Passengers

Postby skids » Sun Sep 16, 2012 4:43 am

Gday Steve,

I had a reason whilst in a longish flight to leave the flight going whilst I stepped out. In the process I missed ATC instruction and my flight plan was cancelled. Within the IF menu there was an option to reload the flight plan but in doing so, FS passengers cancelled the flight. For some reason it acknowledged that there was a new flight created. Is there an answer to this issue please?

Regards

Yes I believe that is FS Passengers responding to the "new plan" unjected.

Steve,

Prior to installing and using IF there was no issue with FS Passengers cancelling the flight when the same issue arose.

You should find FS Passengers works as intended when used without IF, IF won't change anything.

Are you saying FS Passengers can restart the ATC?
IF FSPassengers can restart ATC, then don't bother using the IF menu item.

Steve,

What I am saying is that when I re-load a flight plan through the FSX option with just FS passengers running, there is no issue. When I use the IF reload option with FSP running , FSP cancels the flight. As you say I will just have to use the FSX option and not the IF option.

Unfortunately FS Passengers does not know the same flight continues.

Another problem you may present to FS Passengers is if you use the IF: Advance menu items, Advance to TOD or Approach or Advance 20 minutes, I don't expect FS Passengers to understand any of these functions either.

I've modified the reload flight plan ATC restart so that FS Passengers understands it.
Look out for [se] or [se] preview builds from [se4] on.
Thanks for your help.

Thanks for that steve, I will get to download the update when I get a chance. Sorry to have to put you through this, I must be dumb :((

One other thing, After I have completed a flight and wish to immediately carry on from where I landed and parked, why would IF need to reload all the scenery again? A number of times I have parked where ATC puts me on arrival and then IF reloads and I find that I am at some other parking ramp or gate.

Only when you park up and accept the assessment or accept the parking location will the next flight start from the same place. Since the next flight is moved on a little in time, FSX will reload. FSX will always reload if the plane starts in a different location. if you just started with a new addon plane make sure to check the Aircraft parameters or you may get a failed to generate flight.
