Hey thanks CaptMac, gives us all a bit of confidence. Actually shows how good FSX is...

I'm not sure what version they are up to, but one thing I found with RC4 was having to have the sim start in the running or unpaused state.

I used the "Pause" checkbox in Cold&Dark rather than the PausED checkbox. We must consider that some programs may need the sim to have run a little for them to get some data to start with..

Just a question for both of you.

Are you running Voice Control Version or Button Version of FS2Crew?

You both set you save to be in the 2d panel. Correct?

I will try this once I get off work. With both of you getting it to work I just need to find the formula to make it work.

yes i tried both button and voice, i move to the 2D panel and use IF: Main Menu - save settings - now always starts in 2D.

Did you reinstall 1c first?

I started fs2crew manager then i run the IF: Fly! button to launch the flight - starts in 2D, unpause allow pmdg to finish initialising, then start fs2crew

Please note that some of the more complex addons may not work in IF: advance or jump-to modes.

...SDK error sounds a little worrying, there can be a condition of simconnect contention if the Windows "SBS" system becomes set-up incorrectly. There is a way to solve the simconnect side-by-side errors in this forum.

Ideal Flight uses the full functionality of FSX, some addons use lesser functionality and a so a different version of simconnect. Windows provides the side by side system to run multiple copies of simconnect at once. The system should run multiple copies of simconnect side by side when different programs require the use of different functions. If this system is broken it could cause a problem if the full version of simconnect is already running and then a program requiring another version assumes the correct version is already running. IF checks the version before connecting.

This side-by-side condition is a fault with Windows and not the Addons.

sgreen91, Yes I'm running the voice addition. I should also mention that I'm also running Game Booster 3 that seems to help me free up quit a bit of stuff running in the background.
