Hi Steve,
I was trying to get out of PAFA with no luck...I tried several ways to generate a flight from PAFA but all the times the program hangs and I have to force it close. The first time I tried with an existing profile, changed the location to PAFA, selected my plane (a DC2, if that matters) and started the generator with the -> in the main window. After 20 minutes it was still working (I could see the CPU usage from the sidebar), so I had to close it. Then I tried creating a new profile, left the Baron, no settings changed, using a flight time from 45 min to 1 hour, no flight plan and no filters, all 4 quadrants, it hangs. If I select only one quadrant, it says "no compatible airports". I tried each one, one at a time, I get the same request from IF. If I select 2 quadrants, again, change filters, etc. If I select 3 or 4 quadrants, it hangs again...
Just to make sure, I tried reloading an existing profile with a plane I already used, like the beaver in the Alaskan panhandle (at 16k), sent the command and it took about 1 minute 30 secs to generate one. There I have the filter to look for water runways only. But it works, so my install isn't messed up. By the way, I haven't changed any files manually within the setup.
I'm afraid it all has to do with the many airports in the area around PANC. I guess, but I should try, that also KSEA area has the same potential problem, or any area with lots of strips around it.
Can you take a look and see if the same problem occurs to you? By the way, I have an i7 950 CPU, so plenty of power available
Thanks a lot
