Trial almost done...4 Flights to go :-) some questions...

Hi IF-Team

I really love it so far, I just have minor things I would like to know if possible:

1. When I fly the PMDG 737NGX, I get minus points because of seatbelt and nosmoking signs, but I have them on on. How can I prevent the penaltys? (You know I am aiming for 100%)

2. PMDG RTE flightplan automation would be iceing on the cake.

3. Low visability condition, I love flying in low-vis-condition, I tried almost every setting, but most of the time vis is greater then 10 miles. I know I can set the general visability to 1 mile, but thats not the my goal, sometimes I would like to see all the expensiv scenery addons I bought
Any tips?

4. Cold and dark settings, I know not working in trial, but would it be possible with the PMDG 737NGX to setup, that just the engines are not started? because I use GSX from FSDT. (Pushback)

Hi there McDan!

1. Some addons may use a propriatary signalling for the nosmoking or not even support it. I think you must disable the nosmoking in IF Mission page for the ngx, I think seatbelt works OK in the ngx, but again, some may not support so just disable in the Mission page if not.

2. .RTE file automation is planned but unfortuately other stuff has taken priority so far.

3. IF weather is like real weather so you need to fly where the vis is low at the right time and day. Some imagine that the weather is the same unless you change it, but instead as you progress the weather changes with time, and location. With IF you don't set some degree of visibility, instead you fly into it somewhere You can increase the severity of the weather and get more low vis clouds and rain, more often, but you will come across all the weather situations you want as you progress.

4. I've tested the C&D settings with the ngx all good! You can start with all settings and with the engines off.

One more thing, just remove/reinstall for another 10 flights.

Had a blast tonight, flying the shamu livery 737NGX from Idaho Falls to Kalispell and then I took a waterplane and flew to Spokane

Cant wait for the next flight, its the perfect program to have a nice experience without all the hassle of a flight preperation.

OOOhhh if this would be possible to have in RL-Aviation

Can you please repeat, how can I save the windows position (Atc, Kneeboard, etc etc), so everytime my flight starts, they are on the same position.

I have seen a thread about it, but cant find it anymore.

go to each 2d panel, set it all up, then pull down the Addon menu,
choose IF:MainMenu - Save Aircraft Settings

then go to the VC and set that and choose the save settings again for the VC, they are two different systems

the one you set last is the view you start with

the settings are applied to a saved flight even though you already saved it...

Just purchased IF10. When my flight starts, the kneeboard and atc are open, parking brake is on and it is paused. I then turned them all off, saved the a/c settings for the 2d and vc off as per above. I even got a dialogue message to say that the aircraft settings are saved. However, when I next create a flight, everything is back on. Have I missed a step?

Also, I have a lot of the different textures for my aircraft turned off by inserting "off" next to the panel line in my aircraft.cfg (saves having a thousand selections if you choose "show all variations"). However, these textures still show up in IF10 as a variation. If you happen to select on of these variations, the a/c shows up in FSX missing a lot of textures. Is there any way for IF not to show these variations?

Kneeboard, parking brake etc. those settings are in Cold and Dark, and can you send me one of your edited .cfg files so I can see what it is you mean.
