Apologies, I’ve had to take unexpected time out from IF development this year, but we are now getting close to release with version [sf].

I thought you might like to see a SID STAR route with IDF and FAF, with shots from the FSX map.

The route: LRAR to LGTS, goes from Arad, Romania to Makedonia, Thessaloniki, Greece. The route uses MAVIT and ALIKO, the exit from the SID at LRAR, and the entry to the STAR at LGTS. The Initial departure fix and the final approach fix line your GPS up with the runways. The FSX maps show the detail at the departure and destination. The Navs in the list with the arrows are End Navs in Flight Gen, the nearest Nav Aids off-route at the departure and destination. So a plan with "no waypoints" would still contain the runway, IDF, TOC, SID, STAR, TOD, FAF, and Touchdown - 8 waypoints. Plus the two nearest off-route Nav Aids.

Thanks everyone for your patience!
Steve

...The route is generated from the Sim Scenery data, and with published SID/STAR data from NavDataPro AIRAC data (or Navigraph data). The route can instead be generated completely from the AIRAC Cycle data for exporting to aircraft using AIRAC data fed FMCs. These professional features come with the inexpensive upgrade pack announced soon.

Do you have any timeline in release of the next version? I don't need to check for updates once a week when you plan to release it next year. Cooming soon ... in terms of flight simulation software (not only IF) means between on week and one year, so that is not an adequate information for me.

Best regards

The update is ready to go, it's entering final testing and should be out before Christmas.

Apologies for having stated several times this year that "it would be out soon", originally destined for March. I've had several big diversions which prevented me having the time to do the work. I've rolled a couple of updates into one and there is also a pay-ware unlock/upgrade that handles FMCs and AIRACs and adds a lot of other functionality - announcement soon. So in theory we are not too far off what I had expected to have done by now for IF10, just a few months after all assuming I get [sf] out in the next few weeks. There will be [sg] to follow which will again improve IF10 throughout and add support for more FMCs, and P3D.
